About RepoStack
A powerful tool that provides comprehensive insights into repository technology stacks by analyzing GitHub repositories.
Which technologies are detected?
RepoStack uses an advanced scanning system that analyzes any GitHub repository and detects technologies from:
- Dependencies - Package managers like npm, pip, cargo, go.mod, etc.
- Configuration files - Framework and tool configuration files
- File patterns - Technology-specific file signatures and patterns
- File extensions - Language and framework file extensions
- Lock files - Dependency lock files for accurate version detection
We maintain a comprehensive list of technologies with native support for dozens of programming languages and frameworks. The detection system is continuously updated to support the latest technologies and tools.
Which repositories are scannable?
To ensure quality and accuracy, repositories must pass the following validation rules:
- No private repos, no templates, no forks, and not archived.
- Have more than +10 stars
- Active in the last 2 years
- Less than 2GB in disk size
I don't see [well-known] in the list
Since we can only parse open-source repositories, some technologies may never make the cut (e.g., infrastructure tools, security tools, some databases, etc.). However, sometimes we just don't have a configuration for the technology you're looking for.
If that's the case, you can help us improve RepoStack by:
